The Team 8-1 teachers welcome you to 2009-2010

Team 8-1 is going to Juilfs Park Wednesday, May 26. Students will go to all of their encore classes, then to our end-of-the-year celebration. The permission form for this trip was attached to the permision form for our lunch on Beechmont walk/trip, so there is no need for a new emergency medical form. Students are to pack a lunch or make arrangements for having food delivered by parents or by restaurants. Students may bring sports equipment from home. We will also be supplying some sports equipment, checkers, playing cards, and chess sets. Students are not to bring skateboards or such equipment. Juilfs is just not set up for using equipment of type. The weather forcast is for sunny and hot. Please send along some sunscreen and encourage your child to apply it. Proper footwear is necessary. Hats are permitted.

As we near the end of the school year, we are repeatedly asking our students to produce "9th Grade" quality work. The students' abilities have progressed during this year, and so have the teachers' expectations. We have seen tremendous cognitive growth from many of our students. That growth now needs to be displayed with on-paper performance.

It is our plan to have all assignments and test notices recorded on ProgressBook. Please also check the planner for last-minute changes.
