Chelsea Gafkjen teaches 8th Grade Girls Chorus and 7th Grade Girls Chorus (6th period).
Ms. Gafkjen is in her third year as choral director at Nagel Middle School and Turpin High School in Cincinnati, OH. She is also the dance team coach at Nagel Middle School. Ms. Gafkjen is a native of Marion, OH where she studied voice with Stephanie Carter Hinkle and piano with Merrill Cooper. She attended Capital University in Columbus, OH where she obtained her bachelor’s of music education degree.
While at Capital, she studied voice with Lynn Roseberry and conducting with Dr. Lynda R. Hasseler. She is a member of the American Choral Director’s Association, Music Educator’s Association, the Ohio Music Education Association and Sigma Alpha Iota Fraternity.
In her spare time, Ms. Gafkjen loves cooking, camping and Cleveland Browns football. |

Stacy Wm. Haney, teaches 7th & 8th Grade Male Chorus as well as 8th Grade Instrumental Chorus.
Mr. Haney, a native of Northport, Long Island, New York, is a graduate of Bowling Green State University where he received his Bachelor of Music Education degree as an organ major with an emphasis in choral conducting. He has also completed post graduate work at both BGSU and the University of Cincinnati.
Mr. Haney began his teaching career in Babylon, New York where he taught choral music at both the junior and senior high school. He is currently in his tenth year at Nagel Middle School as the choral director for the seventh and eighth grade male choruses and eighth grade mixed chorus. Mr. Haney also serves as organist and handbell choir director at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church in Indian Hill.
In his spare time, Mr. Haney enjoys hunting, golfing, and weight lifting as well as spending time with his family. |

Alison Oprea teaches 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra as well as 7th Grade Music Survey (7th period).
Mrs. Oprea is in her eleventh year as orchestra director at Nagel. She is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where she received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Mrs. Oprea is currently working towards a Masters Degree at Xavier University.
She is a member of the American String Teachers Association, the Music Educator's National Conference, the Ohio Music Education Association, and Sigma Alph Iota. |

Chad Sheridan team-teaches the 7th and 8th Grade Bands as well as 7th Grade Music Survey (fifth period).
Mr. Sheridan
is currently in his eighth year as director of bands at Nagel Middle School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Sheridan is a native of Pleasant Hill, Ohio where he began his instrumental and vocal training under Don Jenkins at Newton Local Schools. He attended Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky where he obtained his bachelor's of music education degree. Mr. Sheridan is currently working towards a Master of Education degree at Northern Kentucky University.
He is a member of Music Educator's National Conference, the Ohio Music Education Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity and a former member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps from Canton Ohio, a Drum Corps International World Finalist corps. Mr. Sheridan is currently a consultant for several Ohio and Kentucky High School marching bands and is an active KMEA Marching Band Adjudicator. Mr. Sheridan's bands have enjoyed consistent Superior Ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association District Large Group Concert Band Contest.
